Where are you based?
We're based in the UK. Our offices are in Nottingham, just off junction 25 of the M1 motorway. Here's a link to our map location; there's plenty of parking.
We're very close to the geographical centre of the UK, so we can get to 98% of the population within a couple of hours' drive. However, most of our work can be done remotely, so you may not need to see our ugly faces!
What verticals are you involved with?
Our client base is spread across all verticals - basically, any company or organisation with a mission-critical database, a need for the cloud, or enterprise-grade Oracle applications. We're popular in the manufacturing, retail, media, education, construction and public sectors, but our clients cover 31 industries.
What service level standards do you work to?
Xynomix’s consultants are some of the best in the business and are always on hand to offer advice and answer questions. When dealing with technical issues, we guarantee to respond within 30 minutes, although in reality, we usually respond much sooner. Our average resolution time - not reponse time - is 16 minutes.
How do you achieve remote access to clients’ database servers?
Typically, we access remotely through a secure VPN connection, but can use alternative methods if required. If you're concerned about security, please be aware that we operate to the standards laid out in ISO27001, and we're audited to these standards.
My data is valuable. How safe is it for me to engage with Xynomix for support and remote management?
Xynomix operate on a set of standard secure procedures and processes for remote system management, incorporating strict Service Level Agreements and individual security clearance for all database administrators.
We can also sign a non-disclosure agreement. Monitoring,backup and recovery, upgrades, tuning and troubleshooting can all be successfully undertaken from Xynomix’s remote location, as effectively and securely as if the work was being undertaken onsite. Our database support work does not require any access to personal information held in your databases: we never need to view it to carry out our work.
